Over the last couple of winters we have seen how difficult it is to run a successful winter training programme. The hassle of finding adequate training facilities, experienced coaches, finding the numbers to justify the winter sessions, changing the culture of Cricket to become an all year round sport are a handful of issues going against us when it comes to running a successful winter programme.

Is there a solution? We have an idea that can hopefully shape the future of Cricket training during the winter seasons. The plan is for clubs to collaborate regionally, pool resources and unite as one cricketing fraternity in each area. Ideally each region in the Netherlands should be working together to ensure quality winter programmes.

In the Amsterdam region ACA will run a club based programme, where all the clubs in the region can have access to quality coaching. We would like to invite ACC, Qui Vive, VVV, Dosti, Hilversum CC, VRA, Rood en Wit and CC Bloemendaal to train together once a week on Saturday evening at VRA. This can serve as an additional training to your own club training or replace your winter training effort for the club training of all age groups (except U9).

How will this work? ACA will be running the programme with our team of coaches, we will hire the indoor facilities and ensure that the sessions are of the highest order.

By combining our resources, we will ensure lower costs for clubs and parents, while guaranteeing adequate numbers for training and access to two sessions a week.

VENUE - VRA Indoor Hall

TIME - Saturday, 5pm to 7pm

DURATION OF ACADEMY TRAINING - (7 before Christmas break) - 5th of November 2022 - 18th of December 2022. The next training after that will start in the New Year on the 7th of January 2023 until the 12th of March 2023. (10 sessions or 20 sessions before the start of the season, we are looking into a second time slot for JAN-MAR timeframe).

COST

• Per Session, Per Player - € 20. Parents have the option to pay per session attended, please ensure payment is made on the day.
• 7 Sessions - Discounted price of € 100 (7 sessions for the price of 5).

NUMBER OF COACHES - There will be 2 coaches at every session. Assistance from club coaches, assistants, players and parents would always be welcomed. Our aim is to develop as many good quality coaches as possible.

All sessions will be two hours long, U11 and U13 will train together and U15 and U17 will train together.
