Greetings to the Dutch cricket community, the business community in the Netherlands and Dutch society more broadly – we are the Amsterdam Cricket Academy.
A brand-new initiative, ACA is focused on growing and developing cricket in the Netherlands. Our goal is to ensure a grassroots system is in place that grows the game from the ground up and allows kids to get a taste of cricket from a young age. In support of this, we will partner with other academies, regional clubs and the KNCB to establish coaching structures and pathways.
ACA’s success will be measured not only in terms of the sport’s growth in the Netherlands, but also social impact. We understand the value of community building, as well as the health benefits of mobilising our youth – and we believe cricket can be a positive contributor to each of these causes.
ACA was founded by Taku Kusano and Richard Wolfe. Taku is a Level 3 cricket coach with international experience. Richard is a technology entrepreneur who is actively involved in youth cricket in the Netherlands. We are also in the final stages of bringing on board a third founder, soon to be announced.
We look forward to a great journey on and off the cricket field.
